Old Time Piano Music

Derived from the harpsichord, the earliest known piano was built in 1709 by Bartolomeo Cristofori, a harpsichord maker from Florence, Italy, who is generally noted to be the creator of the piano. It’s interesting to note that the combined tension of the strings on a concert grand piano is about 30 tons. Wow!

Dave Bourne
Dave Bourne has been playing piano professionally since his first job in the Calico Saloon at Knott's Berry Farm in 1958. He is a graduate of USC with a degree in Music Education. Besides the recording of his Saloon Piano CD's, Dave has released several recordings, playing guitar with his western singing group, The Lobo Rangers.

Squeek Steele

In 1988 Squeek played her way into the Guinness Book of World Records by performing on the piano one thousand eight hundred and fifty-two (1,852) songs from memory in a three week period. She's been learning more ever since.
